Snowflake Data Engineer Toronto

Build Snowflake data platforms with advanced SQL and Python for Augmented in Toronto, working hybrid two to three days on-site. Design reliable pipelines for enterprise data workloads.

Augmented seeks an intermediate to senior Data Engineer with four-plus years of data engineering experience. You will build Snowflake ingestion and transformation pipelines, model curated datasets, and support analytics and AI use cases. The work includes greenfield platforms, legacy migrations, governance, data quality, and cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design layered Snowflake pipelines for batch and near-real-time ingestion
• Build SQL and dbt ELT transformations using incremental processing
• Model datasets for BI, analytics, and machine learning teams
• Tune warehouses, clustering, queries, and credit spend
• Implement quality, lineage, observability, governance, and security controls

Requirements:

• Four-plus years in data engineering and two-plus Snowflake production years
• Advanced SQL, strong Python, and hands-on dbt experience
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Orchestration experience with Airflow, Dagster, dbt Cloud, or Azure Data Factory
• Git workflows, CI/CD, data modelling, and Snowflake performance knowledge
