Overview
In this role you will lead a strategic data warehouse and integration initiative on Snowflake for a global asset management portfolio platform. You will align technical delivery with business goals, define standardized data models across instruments, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on time and with high quality. You will drive data-centric solutions and AI usage within the program, shaping how upstream and downstream systems interact with data. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence data architecture and deliver value for clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Ensure alignment between technical delivery and business objectives
- Define data models for a broad range of financial instruments
- Standardise data representation across trade types
- Drive AI usage within the program
- Map upstream and downstream systems and their data usage
- Act as primary contact for senior stakeholders across tech, product, and client teams
- Manage expectations, communicate progress, and escalate risks
- Facilitate workshops to elicit and refine business and data requirements
- Proven experience in complex capital market projects
- Experience delivering data warehouse or data platform initiatives
- Solid understanding of modern data architectures and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake)
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT, pipelines, APIs, and data modelling
- Ability to engage with architects and engineers without hands-on work
- Strong knowledge of a broad range of financial instruments (FX, MM, IRD, EQD)
- Knowledge of SAP
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tooling (Jira, Confluence)
- Ability to operate in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments
- Ability to analyse XML and fPML data formats
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; experience with senior stakeholders
