Software Architect

In this role you will shape the strategic direction for C-UAS software systems within Leonardo’s Mission Systems team. You’ll refine existing implementations while defining architectures to meet current needs and future customer ambitions, spanning enterprise design and multi-domain integration. You will contribute to bids, external studies, and capability management for product portfolios, collaborating with solution architects and cross-functional stakeholders. This is a hybrid role with potential for on-site and remote work, offering opportunities to influence high-impact security solutions.

• Refine existing software implementations and define future architectures
• Lead enterprise architecture design and identify software solutions and architectures
• Provide technical leadership in bids and external studies
• Participate in PV scope and support Capability Management for product portfolios
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to shape overall System Architectures and develop white papers for stakeholders

• Extensive experience in developing complex software systems
• Experience in specification and development of Sensor/Effector systems including C2/GUI
• Experience interfacing software systems for integrated capability and data sharing
• Experience in the defence industry
• Ability to work with Solution Architects and contribute to system architecture discussions
• Experience with Visual Studio (C#/C++), DOORS, Cameo, Rhapsody and The Mathworks is desirable
