£500/day via Umbrella - 2 Month Contract - Gosport - Onsite - SCC Flex Contract

We are seeking an experienced Software Asset Management (SAM) & Licensing Consultant (SC Cleared) to support software asset governance, licensing compliance, reporting, supplier management, and software life cycle activities within a secure environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Software Asset Management (SAM) & Licensing Consultant (SC Cleared) to play a key role in maintaining compliance, optimising software investments, and supporting operational continuity.

Your responsibilities as the Software Asset Management (SAM) & Licensing Consultant (SC Cleared):

• Manage Software Asset Management activities across the estate.


• Provide expert software licensing guidance across major software vendors.


• Support software compliance programmes and audit readiness initiatives.


• Produce and maintain licence entitlement, consumption, and utilisation reports.


• Assist with software financial management, forecasting, and optimisation opportunities.


• Manage software request fulfilment processes and associated activities.


• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on licensing and asset management matters.


• Support supplier and vendor relationship management.


• Administer supplier licensing portals and associated tooling.


• Contribute to governance meetings and provide regular management reporting.


• Identify and mitigate risks relating to software compliance and licensing exposure.


• Ensure software asset records and documentation remain accurate and up to date.

As a successful Software Asset Management (SAM) & Licensing Consultant (SC Cleared), you will have:

• Demonstrable experience within Software Asset Management (SAM).


• Strong understanding of software licensing models, compliance, and governance.


• Experience supporting software audits and compliance reviews.


• Knowledge of software life cycle management processes.


• Experience producing management information, reporting, and utilisation analysis.


• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.


• Experience working with software suppliers and vendors.


• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.


• Current active SC Clearance.
