Software Dev. Engineer in Test, Conversational shopping

As an SDET on the Rufus Quality Engineering team, you will build scalable test automation frameworks for Rufus backend, frontend, and GenAI validation. You will create internal tools that enable SDEs to self-serve testing and ensure quality across services, supporting full CD. You will design strategies for validating generative AI outputs, including prompt engineering and regression testing, while exploring autonomous test generation. You will partner with feature teams to weave quality into the development lifecycle and reduce production issues, shaping reliable, high-velocity delivery.

• Design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for backend, frontend, and GenAI validation
• Develop internal testing tools to enable self-serve test execution and quality checks
• Create testing strategies and tooling for GenAI outputs (prompt engineering evaluation, model response benchmarking, regression testing)
• Contribute to autonomous test generation, failure analysis, and predictive quality modeling
• Collaborate with feature teams to embed quality earlier in the SDLC and establish quality gates

• Experience programming in Java, C++, or C# with object-oriented design
