Overview

As an SDET on the Rufus Quality Engineering team, you will help build scalable test automation frameworks for Rufus backend services, frontend apps, and GenAI model validation. You will develop internal testing tools to empower SDEs to self-serve testing and quality validation. You’ll shape GenAI quality validation, including prompt engineering evaluation and regression testing, and contribute to autonomous test generation and intelligent failure analysis. You will collaborate with feature teams to embed quality early in development, enabling faster, safer feature delivery. This role offers a meaningful chance to impact reliability and scale of Amazon’s conversational AI shopping assistant.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for backend services, frontend applications, and GenAI model validation
  • Develop internal testing tools to enable self-serve test execution and quality validation
  • Create testing strategies and tooling for validating generative AI outputs, including prompt engineering and regression testing
  • Contribute to autonomous test generation, intelligent failure analysis, and predictive quality modeling
  • Collaborate with feature teams to embed quality earlier in the development lifecycle and reduce production escapes
Key requirements
