About the Role As a Software Developer at IMSERV, you will be part of our Scrum teams, working with colleagues to craft software using modern Azure and C# technologies. This includes creating unit tests, plus working with our Testers to meet our high quality standards. You will own the code throughout the entire product lifecycle, building an understanding of the market intent and tuning our outputs in conjunction with customer usage data to ensure success. Responsibilities Write code and associated unit tests and documentation, plus resolve bugs as needed Update on progress as part of our scrum processes Be an active member of your Scrum team and the wider Product Engineering community Take part in sprint ceremonies, team events and similar activities Use agreed technical frameworks to design elements of software and contribute to larger elements as part of your team Manage the data required to perform your role, including conversion, test data generation and similar activities Design and create relevant MS SQL database elements as needed Manage artefacts within Azure DevOps Provide accurate estimates Contribute to the Scrum team productively What you'll need Knowledge and Qualifications Has 5+ Years of C# as their primary language Strong appreciation for Object Orientation and designing good quality / well-designed code Routinely practices TDD and a Unit Test first approach to their development Has worked in an Agile SCRUM team and is familiar with the associated ceremonies and artefacts Understands and can build or change tables and stored procedures written in SQL (in a Relational Database system) Skills Ability to write high quality, well-designed code Ability to design software using agreed technical frameworks Ability to contribute effectively within a Scrum team Ability to manage data engineering and database design activities Ability to provide accurate estimates Ability to manage multiple development activities and deliver against requirements Strong collaboration and communication skills Commitment to continuous learning and development Experience: Understands and has practiced designing code that adheres to the principles of SOLID Experience in building APIs with Swagger or Open API Has built applications using one or more of the following Azure PaaS Services: Azure Service Bus Azure Functions Azure API Management (APIM) Azure Logic Apps Azure Data Factory Written CI/CD, build and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps or YML Automated Testing of APIs using, for example, Postman Benefits 28 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays Buy & sell annual leave scheme Up to a 10% bonus Enhanced salary sacrifice pension Life assurance (up to 6x salary*) Simply Health plan (with upgrade options) Car salary sacrifice scheme* (*Length of service and T&Cs apply) Equal Opportunity Statement At IMSERV, we're committed to building a team where everyone feels valued, respected and able to do their best work.
