Overview

In this role you contribute to Trust Retail projects, building retail, EPOS, stock management and customer engagement solutions. You will work across front-end, back-end and Android mobile development to deliver robust, secure applications. You’ll participate in agile processes, write tests and help reduce technical debt while supporting production environments. The position includes on-call duties, reflecting a commitment to reliable, 24/7 availability for customers. This is a growth-focused fintech opportunity in a collaborative, diverse team.

Responsibilities
  • Implement new features for existing and new projects aligned with customer needs
  • Write meaningful unit tests to achieve good code coverage
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
  • Address bugs and reduce technical debt across the tech stack
  • Support test resources by building and deploying artefacts to environments
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues in production and test cloud environments
  • Engage in team-driven agile processes and stand-up meetings
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, health & safety, and GDPR requirements
Key requirements
  • Solid experience in full-stack development with emphasis on Android and Java microservices
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript front-end tech
  • Familiarity with MySQL or equivalent databases
  • Experience writing and maintaining unit tests for Java-based services, microservices, and Android code
  • Effective problem-solving and communication skills
  • Good documentation and reading skills
  • Self-motivated with a positive, professional approach
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
  • Android and Java microservice development
  • Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
