Overview
In this role you will strengthen automated testing capabilities for a public sector digital service. You will build and maintain test frameworks, integrate quality practices into CI/CD, and assure secure, high-quality software across complex stakeholders. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive reliable releases and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to shape testing strategy in a mission-critical environment with modern tooling.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain automated test frameworks
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automation in GitHub Actions
- Improve quality engineering practices across the delivery lifecycle
- Ensure security and quality of software across stakeholders
- Collaborate with Agile/SCRUM teams and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support releases and mitigate risks in delivery
- Significant experience as SDET, Test Automation Engineer, or Software Developer in Test
- Strong automation framework development and maintenance
- Experience with Playwright and/or Selenium WebDriver
- Strong Java and JavaScript development skills
- Experience with BDD tools (Gherkin, Cucumber)
- Experience with CI/CD in GitHub Actions
- Linux and AWS environments
- Database experience (MariaDB, Oracle, MySQL, AWS Aurora) and MySQL scripting
- Understanding of QA best practices and test automation strategies
- Collaborative, agile mindset and strong communication
- Strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborative in Agile/SCRUM environments
- Risk identification and issue resolution mindset
