Shape real-time payment decisions using streaming analytics, Java, and React as a Software Engineer II with Mastercard in Vancouver. Help develop high-performance applications.

This Software Engineer II works with Mastercard's DMP team on the Decision Operations product. You will contribute across front end, REST APIs, backend services, and application components supporting business rules, AI engines, streaming big data, and in-memory data grids. The work emphasizes scalable, secure software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop maintainable, testable, scalable, and secure code
• Write APIs, services, and user interface software
• Review code, refactor, and document technical implementations
• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies and community initiatives
• Support production troubleshooting and preventive improvements

Requirements:

• Full-stack development experience with secure Java, SQL, and React
• Knowledge of Spring and application frameworks
• Familiarity with APIs, event-driven, batch, and web applications
• Strong problem-solving and creative troubleshooting skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and business timelines
