Software Developer - Risk Reliability

Overview
In this role you will build and operate scalable risk software platforms to ensure performance, stability and uptime of critical systems. You’ll work within the Risk team to extend observability, prevent regressions and automate operational flows for high‑volume trading data. You’ll contribute to firm‑wide platforms and tailor domain logic for sub‑teams, addressing incidents and improving resilience. This is a hands‑on role combining development, automation, and on‑call reliability to support business continuity and growth. You will work with cross‑functional teams to shape observability, automation and incident response in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain platform capabilities for observability and health checks
- Automate benchmarking, resource scheduling, metric collection and reporting
- Build self‑serve automation for configuration changes via Jira workflows
- Provide Level‑2 support during business hours and participate in incident response
- Perform root cause analyses and implement remedial actions
- Tweak system configurations and correct historical data in databases as needed
- Bachelor in Computer Science or related
- 4+ years in Software Engineering or similar role with hands‑on development and L2 support
- Proficient in Python
- Experience with Git and Linux environments
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
