Software Developer / Team Lead C# .Net

As Software Developer / Team Lead, you will steer a squad in architecture, development, delivery and production operations while staying hands-on. You’ll own system design, API decisions and code quality, collaborating with Product Managers on roadmaps. You’ll mentor engineers, drive continuous improvement, and promote AI-enabled development. This role combines technical ownership with people leadership in a global payments context.

• Lead architecture, development, delivery and production operations for the squad
• Write production code and tackle complex technical problems
• Own system architecture, API design and technical decisions; conduct design reviews
• Mentor engineers through 1-2-1s, feedback and career development
• Partner with Product Managers on roadmaps and priorities
• Champion AI/agentic coding tools and drive modern development techniques
• Drive process improvements and set engineering standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale the payments platform

• Strong leadership experience within a software engineering team
• Strong backend development skills with C# .Net (other OO languages considered)
• Strong system design experience with distributed systems and microservices
• Frontend experience with Vue.js, React or modern Angular
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Production experience with AWS (SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda)
• Experience owning CI/CD and release processes (GitHub Actions)
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar AI tools
• Collaborative, pragmatic communication to explain technical decisions to engineers and business stakeholders
• Background in payments, FX or regulated industry beneficial
