Software Development Engineer Distributed Systems

This Software Development Engineer role focuses on solving business challenges through innovative technology. You will develop scalable services, distributed storage, index, and query systems. The work includes coding, architecture, testing, operations, and agile delivery for customer-facing products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build technologies in distributed computing environments
• Create prediction solutions for distributed systems
• Develop scalable, fault-tolerant storage, index, and query systems
• Deliver quality features against project plans and commitments
• Mentor other engineers across Amazon

Requirements:

• Three-plus years of professional software development experience
• Two-plus years designing or architecting new and existing systems
• Programming experience with at least one software language
• Three-plus years across the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent preferred
