In this Software Engineer role within Investment Group Technologies, you build systems, services and tools for long-term investing at scale. You work with experienced engineers to shape technical decisions and deliver impactful features. You’ll apply modern engineering and data-centric approaches to solve meaningful problems for millions of customers. You will collaborate cross-functionally, leverage AI, and contribute to a culture that values learning, diversity, and long-term thinking. Responsibilities
  • Write code in TypeScript, Python, Java, etc., for Investment Portfolio Management and Construction
  • Utilize AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, SageMaker, EKS/ECS)
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to identify impactful projects and grow professionally
  • Build strong relationships with customers, partner teams, and engineers
  • Instrument and monitor software quality; analyze usage patterns
  • Influence the team's technical decisions and priorities
  • Apply AI to deliver insights and analytics to customers
  • Identify and solve ambiguous problems and bottlenecks that hinder innovation
Key requirements
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience with at least one modern language (Python, Java, C++, or C#) and OO design
  • Cloud-first experience, preferably AWS (serverless, autoscaling, containers)
  • Experience in data architecture, databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle), SQL, and ORM/DDD design
  • Interest in emerging web technologies (GraphQL, WebAssembly, Lambda, MLaaS)
  • Knowledge of SDLC practices: coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, operations
