Overview

Join Expedia Group’s B2B FinTech team to design, develop, and deliver software powering the Credit platform for partners globally. You will write clean, tested Java/Kotlin code and contribute to architectural decisions, collaborating with product, design, and engineering peers to build scalable solutions. You’ll troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices while delivering end-to-end B2B experiences with cross-functional teams. This role places you at the intersection of fintech and travel tech, offering impact at scale in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver features for the Credit platform used by global partners
  • Write clean, well-tested code across the full software development lifecycle in Java/Kotlin
  • Participate in architectural discussions and influence platform direction
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues to ensure reliability and performance
  • Review peers’ code and provide constructive feedback to improve quality
  • Improve engineering practices, tooling, and processes within the team
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across Expedia Group to deliver end-to-end B2B experiences
Key requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong background in designing and building scalable, distributed systems
  • Experience with JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin)
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Proficient communication in English and ability to collaborate in a distributed, cross-functional team
  • Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in a fast-paced, agile environment
