Overview

In this role, you design, build, and maintain security tools and services that support Amazon's ATG media businesses. You work across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with security and partner teams to address real security challenges at scale. You’ll balance short-term needs with long-term architectural goals and have opportunities to integrate AI capabilities where appropriate. This position offers impact across Music, Audible, and Games as the security tools grow with the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain security tooling, automations, and services across the full development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with security engineers and partner teams (Music, Audible, Games) to address security challenges
  • Identify improvements balancing immediate needs with long-term architecture and maintainability
  • Write clear documentation and coach teammates through code reviews
  • Evaluate and integrate generative AI capabilities to enhance tooling efficiency and effectiveness
Key requirements
  • Experience in professional software development (non-internship)
  • Proficiency in at least one modern language (Java, C++, or C#) with object-oriented design
  • Experience leading the architecture and design of systems (architecture, patterns, reliability, scaling)
  • Collaborative problem-solving
  • Ability to coach and review code
  • Stakeholder communication
  • Object-oriented programming (Java, C++, or C#)
  • Software architecture and design patterns
  • Full software development lifecycle (coding standards, reviews, SCM, builds, testing, operations)
