As a Senior Software Engineer, you will turn ambiguous problems into production AI solutions that enhance our investment processes. You will bridge business teams and the AI platform, leading discovery, design, coding, and production ownership. The role combines hands-on engineering with collaboration across disciplines to set standards for responsible AI at scale. You’ll work on retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, and secure, auditable systems that deliver measurable quality and impact. This is a high-ownership role in a regulated, fast-moving environment with a strong culture of integrity and belonging.

- Partner with business partners to translate workflows into technical specs
- Design, build, and operate production AI applications (copilots, assistants, knowledge-search, agentic workflows)
- Architect end-to-end retrieval-augmented generation pipelines
- Build agents and agentic workflows with safe, auditable boundaries
- Practice eval-driven development with upfront criteria and evaluation harnesses
- Own end-to-end delivery from discovery to production operations
- Instrument systems with observability, cost tracking, and audit trails
- Apply FinOps and cost-optimization to AI workloads
- Integrate AI with enterprise data systems and MLOps/LLMOps tooling
- Apply responsible-AI governance and security controls with risk/compliance partners
- Embed IAM, encryption, and audit logging; align with SOC 2 and data privacy rules
- Codify reusable tools and playbooks; share learnings across teams
- Create documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams
- Demonstrate full-stack engineering capabilities across environments
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with Python or similar language
- Hands-on production experience building and shipping LLM-powered apps including prompt engineering, retrieval, and agent development
- Experience designing/building end-to-end RAG pipelines and integrating LLMs with real systems
- Strong system design, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native development; proven production ownership
- Eval-centric approach with upfront evaluation and guardrails
- Strong communication skills for technical discovery and cross-functional collaboration
- High agency and comfort navigating a large regulated organization
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
