Software Development Engineer in Test

In this role you will help ensure Riverlane’s QEC software delivers reliable, user-friendly experiences. You’ll test end-to-end across Deltakit, the compiler, and Deltaflow, advocating for customer-facing quality and usability. You’ll collaborate with engineers and product teams to translate user expectations into robust tests and improvements. • Design, write and maintain Python tests across the QEC software stack (Deltakit, compiler front end)
• Test features from the customer’s point of view to reflect actual usage
• Identify usability or clarity gaps and propose improvements
• Share findings with engineering and product teams and drive changes
• Collaborate closely with developers to plan and validate test coverage

• Knowledge of quantum computation and core concepts (e.g., quantum circuits)
• Experience as a developer on a product, with an interest in testing
• Strong Python skills (pytest and related interfaces)
• User-focused mindset and ability to translate customer needs into tests
• Track record of suggesting product/library improvements
