Overview

In this role, you will help design and operate scalable security automation platforms for AWS Security’s Epoxy team. You’ll build features that onboard threat detection, remediate risks, and automate responses across many AWS accounts. You work closely with cross-functional partners to raise reliability, safety, and operational excellence. This is a hands-on role with ownership from design through on-call incident support, shaping systems used at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver features for Epoxy services aligned with business goals
  • Own operational excellence: instrument, alert, and automate to reduce toil
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code with clear docs and runbooks
  • Participate in on-call rotations, respond to high-severity incidents, and implement permanent fixes
  • Improve resiliency, scalability, and safety of large-scale systems
  • Contribute to code/design/operational readiness reviews and post-incident analyses
  • Mentor teammates and influence partner teams on engineering practices
Key requirements
  • Experience in professional software development (non-internship)
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language (Java, C++, or C#) with OO design
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle including coding standards, reviews, and operations
