Responsibilities 50% — Hands-on Technical Contribution
The lead should remain technically engaged rather than becoming purely a project coordinator.
Responsibilities include:
Developing and reviewing complex C#/.NET and Dynamics 365 solutions
Developing Model-driven Apps and Canvas Apps, with Strong Power Fx experience for Canvas Apps.
Providing technical guidance to developers
Troubleshooting complex technical issues
Performing code and design reviews
Helping resolve difficult implementation problems
Developing prototypes or proof-of-concepts where appropriate
Working with Dynamics 365, Dataverse, APIs, Azure and integration components
Ensuring development follows established engineering and architectural standards
Mentoring developers and improving technical practices
25% — Technical Delivery Leadership
The lead is responsible for ensuring the technical side of the project stays on track.
Responsibilities include:
Tracking technical progress at the project level
Identifying technical risks, dependencies and blockers early
Coordinating with Platform, Security, Infrastructure, Data, DevOps and other teams
Driving cross-team technical dependencies to resolution
Ensuring required technical decisions are made in a timely manner
Monitoring technical readiness for key project milestones
Escalating technical risks that could affect scope, schedule, quality or delivery
Working closely with the Project Manager/Product Owner to communicate technical status
Ensuring the development team has what it needs to deliver
Keeping technical work aligned with project objectives and timelines
25% — Architecture & Technical Governance
The lead acts as an important technical peer/reviewer to the Solution Architect.
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing architecture and solution designs created by the Solution Architect
Challenging architectural decisions constructively when appropriate
Ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and appropriately engineered
Identifying both over-engineering and under-engineering
Evaluating technical trade-offs between complexity, cost, maintainability, scalability and risk
Ensuring Dynamics 365 and Microsoft platform capabilities are used appropriately before introducing unnecessary custom solutions
Reviewing integration, security, performance and scalability considerationsEnsuring architecture is practical and implementable by the development team
Identifying architectural risks before they become implementation or delivery issues
Ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and technology standards
Helping translate high‑level architecture into practical technical implementation
Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent professional experience
6+ years of software engineering/development experience
4+ years of hands‑on Dynamics 365/Power Platform - Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Field Service, and/or any other Dynamics 365 CE applications, including configuration, customization, development, integrations, and end-to-end implementation.
Power Apps, Canvas Apps, Model‑driven Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power Fx, PCF
5+ years of strong C#/.NET development experience
3+ years as a Software Development Lead, Technical Lead, Senior Developer, Architect, or equivalent
Demonstrated experience designing and reviewing enterprise application architectures
Experience providing technical ownership/leadership for projects involving multiple technology and business teams
Experience coordinating with Platform, Security, Infrastructure, Data, DevOps, Architecture and other enterprise teams
Strong Microsoft Azure, REST/API and enterprise integration experience
Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD and Dynamics 365/Power Platform ALM
Strong experience with Microsoft Dataverse and its data model, relationships, security, business rules, workflows, power automates, business process flows and Strong SQL Server and database fundamentals
Ability to influence and coordinate teams without necessarily having direct authority over them
