Overview

As Software Development Manager for the EDO Content Delivery team, you will lead a global, hands-on team to deliver scalable software and data solutions. You collaborate with ITG, EDO, and partners to transform the delivery of applications like product reference data management and client-facing data automation. You set engineering standards, mentor engineers, and drive architecture decisions while ensuring intuitive front-end design, robust back-end frameworks, and strong data design. You will balance people leadership with hands-on coding and contribute to complex code and problem solving. You will work in a diverse, inclusive culture that aligns with Capital Group’s strategic priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a global team of associates and contractors
  • Resource planning and prioritization
  • Set engineering standards and contribute to complex code and problem solving
  • Translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions
  • Ensure delivery of scalable, performant software and data solutions across front-end, back-end, and data layers
  • Collaborate with business leaders, stakeholders, and IT to promote content delivery data solutions
  • Lead in a player/coach capacity, allocating work and monitoring progress
  • Manage a dispersed team and contribute to scale through resourcing/location strategy
Key requirements
  • Proven track record delivering solutions in complex organizations
  • Experience with AWS, Databricks, DBT, PySpark, React, JavaScript, Terraform
  • Fast learner and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Passion for automation and user experience innovation
  • Experience developing and coaching associates to meet business goals
  • Experience with AI/ML/Gen AI/LLM preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
