In this role you lead the CDSClear Clearing Platform engineering, delivering high-quality trading, clearing and reporting capabilities. You’ll manage a London-based team and collaborate with Risk, QA and IT Support to drive end-to-end solutions. You will champion continuous improvement, apply automation and AI tooling to accelerate delivery, and partner with business stakeholders to shape next-stage growth. - Development management of Trade Management Engineering and related functions
- Lead the engineering of CDSClear’s clearing platform (external connectivity, trade registration, lifecycle, reporting)
- People leader for the London team
- Collaborate with Risk Development, QA, IT Support and other colleagues to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Engage with projects across full SDLC ensuring high-quality production delivery
- Drive Continuous Improvement across the IT stack to reduce defects and modernise the platform
- Stakeholder face-off with Business Transformation, Product, Risk, Operations, Customer Success, Engineering Architecture, Compliance and Second Line Risk
- Manage third-line production and test system support
- System design knowledge applicable to Derivative Trade Capture or Front‑to‑Back processing systems
- Ability to lead all aspects of external connectivity and protocol implementation (FpML workflows)
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle, data quality controls, retention strategies, and reporting solutions for Members, Clients and Regulators
- Leadership experience coaching and developing engineering staff
- Engineering of a Java / Oracle technology stack in Financial Services
- Appreciation of DevOps tools such as GitLab, Ansible, Terraform and Helm
- Strong emphasis on automated testing tooling
- Solid understanding of Engineering Principles and Industry Good Practice in Financial Markets Infrastructure
- Delivery management of multi-person, multi-month initiatives aligned with business plans
- Ability to translate a system improvement vision into iterative, multi-year execution
- Strong verbal and written English skills
- Desirable: knowledge of Credit Derivative Trade Capture and Life-cycling; Derivative Clearing; AWS Cloud Architecture
