Overview

In this Software Engineer role within Renishaw’s Industrial Metrology group, you build and maintain Windows-based software for the manufacturing sector and collaborate with engineering teams to extend flagship metrology tools. You will work in an agile environment, write tests, and help ensure high-quality production code. The position offers exposure to advanced probing systems and global customers, with a Hybrid working setup and clear opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities
  • Build Windows applications for manufacturing contexts
  • Maintain, upgrade and extend existing production code
  • Work in an agile team to break down stories into tasks
  • Write tests to ensure product quality
Key requirements
  • Degree level in a technical subject or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of legacy and modern C++
  • Knowledge of legacy UI frameworks
  • Experience with SQL databases
  • Understanding of computational geometry and 3D maths
  • Experience with using AI for safe and efficient code development
  • Willingness to work in a team to complete tasks
  • Desire for continuous learning and improvement
  • Willing to travel with a valid passport and driving licence
