Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence, you join autonomous DevOps teams to deliver secure software for national security customers. You will design, develop, deploy and maintain applications and services across diverse teams, with scope to explore new technologies and methods. • Design and build PoC or production systems with cross-functional teams
• Contribute to the full delivery lifecycle in an empowered DevOps setup
• Design, develop, deploy and maintain applications and services
• Collaborate with end-users and teams to understand requirements
• Identify appropriate technologies and learn new ones with available training
• Champion code quality and automated testing throughout the lifecycle

• Programming knowledge in JavaScript, Java, .Net, or Python
• Experience designing PoC/production systems
• Proficient in version control (Git, Mercurial, Perforce)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bitbucket)
• Automated testing and test automation practices
• Static code analysis (e.g., SonarQube)
• Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum/Lean/Kanban)
• Knowledge of common software design patterns
