Software Engineer

As a Backend Engineer at Zego, you will build and maintain backend services powering customer-facing products. You’ll ship well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and pair with more senior engineers to level up quickly. You’ll own your work, seek feedback, and leverage AI tools to improve daily workflows. This role offers growth toward senior levels within a supportive, collaborative team. • Build, test and ship backend services used by customers daily
• Write clear, well-tested code for maintainability
• Review peers' code and learn from peers
• Pair with senior engineers on difficult problems and grow
• Ask questions, seek feedback, and take ownership of knowledge gaps
• Utilize AI tools in daily workflow and help the team improve usage

• Professional software development experience
• Solid fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP, testing, version control
• Experience with or willingness to work primarily with Python
