Overview

In this role you own end-to-end delivery of real-time video, data, and AI analysis for a sports content platform. You’ll work within a high-trust, autonomous engineering culture that emphasizes rapid, high-quality delivery. You’ll design and build scalable cloud-native pipelines and AI-enabled features, shaping the platform and its impact on live sports analytics. This is a hands-on, architecture-forward role with opportunities to influence tech choices and product direction.

Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end delivery of real-time video, data and AI analysis on the platform
  • Design, implement and maintain low-latency, cloud-native pipelines and services
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align on architecture, quality, and security
  • Review and improve code quality, tests, and performance; enforce engineering rigor
  • Automate workflows and leverage AI tools to boost productivity
  • Manage deployments and infra using AWS, Docker, Terraform; monitor reliability
  • Contribute to frontend work or support teams needing SolidJS/TypeScript expertise when needed
  • Stay current with tech trends and drive effective, scalable solutions
  • Mentor teammates and foster a high-trust, collaborative culture
  • Proactively identify and address bottlenecks in data processing and AI workflows
Key requirements
  • Polyglot mindset with strong Java 21 backend proficiency; reading/understanding Java 21 required with openness to Node, Python or Go
  • Frontend experience with SolidJS preferred; ability to switch to SolidJS on Day 1 if needed
  • Proven experience integrating and building products with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Grok)
  • Daily use of AI tools for productivity; familiarity with AI workflow concepts
  • Engineering rigor: clean, tested, documented code with attention to security and performance
  • Agility in fast-moving, iterative environments with clear ownership and delivery focus
  • Forward-thinking and curious about rapid tech advancements
  • Ability to work autonomously and own outcomes
