Software Engineer

In this Software Engineer role at Rover, you contribute to customer-facing products that improve the lives of people and their pets. You’ll work on web and mobile features, collaborating with Product, Design, and Data Science to drive impactful projects. You focus on robust engineering practices, testing, and scalable solutions, while growing your craft in a supportive, inclusive environment. You’ll help deliver safe, high-quality experiences for a diverse community of users and pet care providers.

• Build, test, and deploy scalable web and mobile solutions across the tech stack
• Own features from concept to launch in collaboration with Product, Design, and Data Science
• Champion engineering excellence, with emphasis on automated testing and database design
• Engage in a collaborative environment to share knowledge and improve engineering craft
• Maintain a strong user focus with attention to design and experience for customers and their pets

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience building web and/or mobile applications
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to challenges
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/XP)
