Overview

You will develop and enhance the core wildfire spread simulation engine using C++ and Python. In a cross-functional, climate-tech setting you will turn physics concepts into high-performance software and build data pipelines for experiments. This role directly supports improving wildfire prediction and climate resilience. You will work on scalable, scientific computing problems in a hybrid on-site role that blends research and engineering impact.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and improve the wildfire spread simulation engine
  • Work with C++ and Python for scientific computing
  • Build data pipelines for experimentation and validation
  • Translate physics and mathematical concepts into robust software
  • Collaborate with the team to advance climate-tech objectives
Key requirements
  • Strong C++ and Python skills for scientific computing
  • Experience developing and validating physics-based numerical models (CFD, combustion, heat transfer, atmospheric dynamics, meteorology, weather forecasting, or stochastic simulation)
