Overview

In this role you will help build core backend systems for a fintech payments start-up backed by a major bank. You will design and implement a robust REST API, work with microservices, and apply software engineering best practices to deliver reliable payment solutions. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers to scale platforms and enable rapid deployment across environments. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape payments technology in a fast-moving, open banking-enabled environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop backend infrastructure and REST APIs for payment platforms
  • Design and maintain microservices architecture
  • Implement software engineering best practices (testing, CI/CD)
  • Create reusable libraries and APIs for banking operations
  • Automate build, release, test, and deployment across environments
  • Promote reuse of platform components and technologies
  • Provide essential software components to deliver platforms, applications, and services
Key requirements
  • C# / .NET production experience
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Azure experience
  • On-premises to cloud migration experience
  • Experience maintaining and administering SQL databases
  • Test driven development with NUnit/XUnit
  • Mocking with Moq and unit testing with Coverlet
