We're recruiting Software Engineers to join a high-performing engineering team supporting the development of advanced defence and mission-critical systems in Glasgow. You'll work across the full software lifecycle, helping to deliver innovative solutions used in some of the UK's most technically demanding environments.
This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge programmes where software reliability, performance, and security are paramount, collaborating with experts across software, systems, hardware, and test engineering.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions using C++ and C
- Working within Linux and embedded environments to deliver robust software applications
- Supporting the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through to integration and verification
- Developing high-quality, maintainable code aligned with engineering best practices
- Performing unit, integration, and system testing activities
- Supporting software integration, troubleshooting, and debugging activities
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Participating in Agile development activities including sprint planning and technical reviews
- Producing technical documentation and engineering artefacts
What We're Looking For
- Commercial experience developing software using C++ and/or C
- Experience working across the software development lifecycle
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Linux and/or embedded software development
- Understanding of object-oriented design principles
- Experience using version control tools such as Git
- Ability to work effectively within collaborative engineering teams
- Real-time or embedded software development
- CI/CD and automated build pipelines
- Requirements management tools such as DOORS
- UML and software design methodologies
- Defence, aerospace, electronics, or other safety-critical industries
- Communication protocols and hardware interfaces

Qualifications
Relevant degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent industry experience.
