Software Engineer
Work Hours and Pattern
HOURS: Full-time, 35 hours
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office.
What you’ll be doing
- Support Developing Network Services Skills – research industry trends for innovative new solutions to problems within the platform.
- Enabling teams to move faster, more accurately and with assurance in our platform offering to customers
- Monitor & Improve – work closely with engineering and operations teams to identify issues, analyse trends, and support troubleshooting across our network platforms, gaining hands‑on experience with real‑world infrastructure challenges
- Grow & Learn – learn from expert engineers in a supportive environment, building practical skills in network engineering, automation, and modern infrastructure practices. We'll support you in developing a deep technical foundation, which you'll apply to everyday problems in a large enterprise network
- Contribute to Platform Development – play an active role in enhancing our network capabilities by supporting automation initiatives, improving platform performance, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of how we design and deliver network services.
What we’re looking for
- A passion for technology and a genuine curiosity to learn and develop
- An interest in networking, automation, and modern engineering practices
- Basic awareness of APIs, scripting, private cloud technologies, or related tools
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with confidence working with data
- A collaborative approach and an eagerness to understand how systems and technologies integrate
- An interest in emerging technologies, including AI and observability, with the ability to work within enterprise standards and controls.
- Any experience of these would be great: Exposure to technology, networking, infrastructure, or IT through education, work experience, or personal projects
- An understanding of how systems, applications, and digital services work together
- Confidence using data and technology to identify and solve problems
- Awareness of software, infrastructure, or engineering lifecycles
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities
- A proactive approach to learning new technologies and improving ways of working.
