Software Engineer

In this role you will develop and maintain C++ software for advanced maritime and defence systems, contributing across the full SDLC. You will work with a growing engineering team to design back-end and client-server components, fronts, and sensor integrations, ensuring robust, testable software. The role sits in an Agile/SCRUM environment and emphasizes problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. • Develop and maintain software solutions using C++
• Design back-end systems, communication layers and client-server applications
• Develop front-end GUIs
• Integrate software with external systems and sensors
• Perform unit and simulation-based testing
• Collaborate within an Agile/SCRUM environment

• Strong C++ development experience
• Object-oriented programming and software design experience
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns
• Experience with debugging and fault finding
• Understanding of networking and data serialization
• Database and front-end development experience
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience with Qt, QML, DDS, PostgreSQL, STL, XML or sensor integration would be highly beneficial
