Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer, you will help build and operate the Featurespace SaaS platform for fraud and financial crime prevention. You will work on cloud-native software running in AWS alongside experienced engineers. The role blends application development, cloud services, data processing, and platform technologies, with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability. Your work will impact Visa’s efforts to prevent fraud and enable trusted payments at scale. You’ll grow your skills while contributing to meaningful, cross-team initiatives.

• Develop, test and maintain components of the Featurespace SaaS platform
• Deliver well-defined features with guidance as needed
• Write clear, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Investigate bugs and resolve production issues
• Participate in code reviews and apply feedback
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD
• Work with AWS and cloud-native technologies
• Perform root cause analysis using debugging skills and AI-assisted tools where applicable
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions
• Improve reliability, security, performance and operability of services
• Take increasing ownership of features and services as you gain experience

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline, or relevant professional software engineering experience
• Experience developing software using Java or Python
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and maintainable, testable code
• Familiarity with Git or similar source control
• Understanding of automated testing and its role in development
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills
• Interest in cloud technologies and distributed systems
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work across different parts of a system
• Good communication and collaboration within an engineering team
