Java Developer - Global Systematic Hedge Fund - London


A global systematic hedge fund managing $9bn+ AUM is looking to hire a Java Developer to join its Software Development team.


This is an opportunity to join an established team in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, working closely with the business to build technology that supports the firm's trading activities.


The role also offers hybrid working with 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.


Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance systems across Java, Python and MATLAB.
  • Integrate applications with proprietary trading systems and strategic SaaS providers.
  • Follow best practices across the SDLC, including TDD, CI/CD and monitoring.
  • Work closely with the business to understand financial markets and develop solutions to real business problems.
  • Stay up to date with the wider technology community through conferences, meet-ups and other events.


Requirements

  • 3+ years' professional software development experience.
  • Expert-level Java development skills.
  • Strong knowledge of concurrency and low-latency systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Maths, Physics or a related field.
