In this role you will design and build mission-critical software for embedded platforms, working closely with end-users on-site. You will apply low-level hardware interfacing, develop in Python and C++, and contribute to cross-functional teams delivering robust tools in demanding environments. You’ll gain real-world impact by solving operational problems at customer sites and documenting your work for long-term reliability. - Develop bespoke software on embedded platforms (ESP32, Raspberry Pi, ARM)
- Write/maintain code in Python and/or C++, interfacing with hardware
- Work with communication protocols to integrate peripherals
- Test and debug in lab and at customer sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and implement features
- Support system integration and deployment of hardware/software stacks
- Engage with users to understand operational needs and adapt solutions
- Contribute to technical documentation and Git workflows
- Mentor less-experienced developers and share knowledge
- Hands-on software development experience
- Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python
- Experience coding for embedded systems (ESP32, ARM Cortex boards)
- Familiarity with hardware interfacing (serial, GPIO, USB, SPI/I2C)
- Comfort in Linux development environments
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to new hardware/tools/use cases
- Familiarity with unit testing, debugging tools, and Git workflows
