Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient software solutions
  • Collaborate with tech leads to align with bp’s strategy and team priorities
  • Integrate solutions across bp with the Yalla stack and other engineering teams
  • Write production-ready code in C#, Python, Java, or Go and learn new technologies as needed
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable releases
  • Contribute to live service reliability through monitoring and incident response
  • Follow secure coding practices and bp information security standards
  • Participate in system design discussions and guide architectural trade-offs
  • Support deployment processes and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Design and optimize relational databases and data models
  • Assist with delivery planning and progress tracking for digital initiatives
Key requirements
  • Software Engineer with production system experience
  • Strong understanding of Agile development and modern software practices
  • Collaborative mindset and clear communication with engineers and product managers
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, or release processes
  • Experience designing relational databases and data models
  • Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript)
  • Familiarity with container-based development
  • Understanding of secure software development principles
  • Experience with logging, monitoring, and reliability for production systems
  • Ability to participate in system design discussions with guidance from seniors
  • Experience using Git-based source control and common branching strategies
