We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team at Lloyds Banking Group, with locations in Edinburgh or Leeds . This is a full-time, hybrid role requiring at least two days per week in the office.

You will play a key role in developing innovative digital solutions that transform how our customers plan, protect, and save. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will design, build, test, and deploy software products, contributing to our value-driven mission.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, well-tested, and robust code
- Design, build, and test backend microservices and RESTful APIs
- Work with containerized services like Docker and Kubernetes
- Utilize cloud technologies effectively
- Create tests and pipelines to ensure code quality
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle using agile methodologies
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of modern software development tools, cloud hosting, APIs, and CI/CD
- Understanding of programming principles, modular code, and software quality
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and mentor others
Desirable Skills
- Experience with React, NodeJS, .Net Core
- Testing frameworks like NUnit, Jest, React Testing Library
- Monitoring tools like Dynatrace
