In this AI-first backend role, you will own a high-throughput real-time data engine, building with C#/.NET on Azure. You’ll work within a small, high-performing product team to optimise architecture, performance, and resilience for real-time analytics used in energy trading. You’ll collaborate across engineering disciplines, adopting AI-assisted workflows to accelerate delivery. - Salary up to 65,000

Responsibilities
- Evolve the platform architecture to improve performance, scalability and resilience
- Own technical design decisions and contribute across the full development lifecycle
- Champion engineering best practices, maintainable code, and solid documentation
- Support cloud operations on Microsoft Azure (App Services, CI/CD pipelines, Azure Front Door)
- Stay current with AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows
- Develop in C#, .NET, and Azure for real-time data analytics
Key requirements
- Strong C# and .NET expertise with a track record of high-performance, real-time systems
- Solid database experience
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and agentic workflows
- Background within trading platforms
- Familiarity with Agile environments and collaborative code reviews
- Git and Azure DevOps knowledge
- Strong communication skills to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences
