In this role you will build and evolve Python-based platforms that support investment decisions at Schroders. You’ll work within Public Markets Technology to deliver cloud-native solutions and AI-enabled capabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams across product, data, and investment desks. You’ll apply modern engineering practices to create secure, scalable, and testable software that directly impacts investment outcomes. The role offers deep technical growth in a finance-focused, multidisciplinary environment with a strong emphasis on code quality and mentorship. You’ll contribute to an AI-native investment platform that enhances decision making and market impact.

- Write clean Python code to build reusable components and packages
- Leverage AWS and Azure to deliver cloud-first solutions
- Refine the platform and products in response to business needs

- Coach and develop junior team members and promote best practices
- Minimum 3 years Python development experience
- Experience with cloud and serverless services (AWS AppSync, Lambda, DynamoDB)
- Experience in regulated industries
- SQL and NoSQL databases experience
- Understanding of Python standard libraries and third-party packages
- Experience with ETL, analytics workflows using Pandas, Polars, Dask
- Agile (Scrum), DevSecOps, CI/CD, Git/GitHub
- Experience with agentic development tools
- Ability to engage credibly with business and technical stakeholders
