Overview

As a Software Engineer at easyJet, you will design, build, and operate production software that supports airline services. You’ll work in an agile squad with product owners and engineers to translate business needs into scalable solutions. The role offers hands-on development across the full lifecycle and opportunities to advance your engineering expertise in a collaborative, learning-focused environment. You’ll engage with modern technologies and AI-assisted tools to improve quality and delivery at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, test, deploy and support production software
  • Develop high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Build and support applications using AWS, .NET and Java technologies
  • Contribute to technical design discussions and implementation activities
  • Investigate defects, troubleshoot issues and support production systems
  • Improve software quality through code reviews, testing, observability and reliability practices
  • Collaborate with product, design and engineering colleagues to deliver valuable solutions
  • Contribute to engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing and release management
  • Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development effectiveness and software quality
Key requirements
  • Commercial software engineering experience in a modern technology environment
  • Strong experience with .NET and/or Java
  • Experience building and supporting cloud-native applications on AWS
  • Experience with APIs, distributed systems and modern software architectures
  • Confidence with shared codebases, automated testing and code review processes
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control and cloud-based development workflows
  • Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning new technologies
