Overview

In this role you will design, build and optimize digital customer journeys for onboarding and engagement across Europe, within a mature, engineering-focused function. You will contribute to cloud-native applications and AI-assisted development to enhance client experience. You’ll collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, well-tested solutions and drive continuous improvement in a product-led environment. The opportunity combines modern tech with a focus on high-impact digital platforms and customer journeys.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and enhance Angular-based customer-facing applications
  • Build and maintain cloud-native services within AWS
  • Develop backend services using Java Spring Boot and Node.js
  • Integrate third-party APIs and internal platforms to create seamless digital experiences
  • Deliver well-tested, maintainable and scalable code
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews and engineering best practice initiatives
  • Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Utilise AI-driven development tools to improve productivity and code quality
  • Champion modern software engineering standards and continuous improvement
Key requirements
  • Strong commercial experience developing applications with modern Angular versions
  • Experience building backend services with Java Spring Boot
  • Solid AWS cloud experience, particularly with managed services and cloud-native architectures
  • Node.js development experience
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude or similar
  • Ability to take ownership of features from design through to production deployment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
