Overview

In this Oxford-based Software Engineer role you will develop core modules of a cloud-enabled engineering design platform and integrate them into a distributed AWS environment. You’ll produce production-grade code in C#, C++ or Python and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting. The project mix includes automation of workflows and simulation tooling for high-performance engineering. This is a fast-growing, innovation-driven opportunity with solid progression potential.

Responsibilities
  • Develop core modules for the engineering design platform
  • Integrate modules into a cloud compute environment
  • Wrap commercial simulation tools and automate workflows
  • Collaborate with internal teams in an Agile setting
  • Support engineering processes with high-quality automation
  • Contribute to scaling and optimization of cloud-based simulations
Key requirements
  • 2–8 years in a commercial software engineering role using C#, C++ or Python
  • AWS / Distributed Computing experience
  • Distributed computing experience with cloud architecture
  • Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Linux background
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns and modern engineering principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively and guide the team
  • Exposure to CFD/FEA and mechanical engineering context (preferred)
