Software Engineer - Backend

In this Backend Software Engineer role, you will contribute to building scalable services for the Mass Affluent segment, delivering a seamless digital banking experience. You’ll work within the Segments & Propositions Relationships Lab to shape backend systems and cloud-based delivery. The role blends hands-on development with architecture refinement to support personalization at scale. • Develop and maintain backend services using Java 8+ and Spring ecosystem
• Design and refine system architecture for scalable, cloud-enabled applications
• Integrate with external services (SOAP, REST, GraphQL) and manage data flows
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and test automation to ensure quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Contribute to database design (SQL and NoSQL) and performance tuning
• Hands-on with Gradle/Maven build processes

• Java 8+ expertise
• Spring ecosystem experience
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Database design with SQL and NoSQL
• Experience with external service integration (SOAP, REST, GraphQL)
• Kubernetes and Linux OS
• CI pipeline and test automation exposure
