Software Engineer, Business Technology

Anthropic seeks product engineers to build internal products at the intersection of engineering, product, and design. You will own outcomes, ship full-stack features, and work with users to understand needs and build abstractions that unlock capabilities. You’ll spot patterns in requests, develop primitives and middleware, and empower less-technical users. You’ll make product decisions, iterate on UX, and pick up new tools as the product evolves. • Design, prototype, and ship full-stack features across backend, frontend, and infrastructure
• Consult with users and stakeholders to identify workflows and high-impact opportunities
• Distill patterns from user requests into primitives, platforms, or middleware for multiple use cases
• Build tools that empower non-technical users to be autonomous
• Make product and prioritization decisions, not just execute specs
• Iterate quickly based on feedback to improve user experience
• Learn new tools, frameworks, and domains as the product evolves

• 6+ years of experience building production software
• Ability to own a product from idea to shipped, independently if needed
• Strong systems thinking and capability to work with incomplete information
• Ownership mindset: care about solving the problem, not just delivering code
• Comfort with ambiguity and a high personal performance bar
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and React (as per description)
