Overview

As a Software Engineer on Autodesk Fusion, you will help build production-grade CAD/CAM desktop features in a cross-functional, agile team. You will apply AI-assisted development to plan, implement, and test, while ensuring correctness, security, and performance. You’ll own components end-to-end, tackle geometry-heavy challenges, and collaborate with Product Management, Experience Design, and QA to deliver customer-facing capabilities. This role places you at the heart of automating design-to-manufacture workflows and expanding Fusion’s capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools for planning, implementation, refactoring, debugging, test generation, and documentation with rigorous validation
  • Design and implement scalable C++ features with solid object-oriented principles and design patterns
  • Own features from design through deployment and support, including debugging and performance tuning
  • Create technical documentation with design specifications and implementation details
  • Develop CAD capabilities (parametric modelling, geometry, design workflows) and apply computational geometry principles
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Experience Design, and Quality Assurance to deliver Fusion features
  • Work within distributed global teams and participate in Agile ceremonies
  • Broaden technical breadth while deepening core-area expertise and contributing to code quality and learning culture
Key requirements
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude) and disciplined code review
  • Strong OO programming in C++ (modern practices, STL)
  • Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
  • Experience with CAD/CAM concepts, computational geometry, or geometry-heavy software
  • Experience with Git and Jira
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication
