Overview

In this role you will contribute to a flagship secure operating system and desktop application, working on low-level Linux (Debian) with C++. You’ll join a small, collaborative team in a relaxed, non-corporate environment, blending office and home work to deliver secure software for finance, government, and allied sectors. You will help build new features, enhance performance, and drive security-focused improvements. This is a hands-on role with significant impact on product reliability and security.

Responsibilities
  • Develop features and updates for the secure OS and desktop application using C++ on Linux (Debian)
  • Work on low-level system components to maximize security and reliability
  • Collaborate with a small, international team in a hybrid work setup
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and enhancements
  • Participate in problem solving and proactive debugging to maintain system integrity
Key requirements
  • Strong C++ coding skills
  • Deep knowledge of Linux OS with bash scripting and command line
  • Proactive, analytical, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Degree educated with solid Computer Science fundamentals (OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns)
  • Collaborative with good communication skills
  • Eligible for SC Clearance (British citizen or resident for ≥5 years)
  • Ideally knowledge of Networking (TCP/IP), Linux Kernel, C or Python
