Software Engineer - Core Networking

In this role you contribute to Neo4j’s Core Networking Engineering, focusing on the network server modules and related drivers. You will influence connectivity strategy with product managers, lead design and implementation of new features, and work across the server and protocol stack. There are opportunities to engage with the community, write and share knowledge, and support training and events. You’ll thrive shaping protocol-driven, scalable networking solutions that power Neo4j’s connected data platform.

• Develop and implement features in the network server modules and binary protocol (Bolt)
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to steer the protocol and connectivity roadmap
• Design and implement architectural improvements in the server codebase
• Work on drivers and APIs that bridge network and client applications
• Engage with the community: support projects, write blog posts, assist with training and events

• Java language, platform and ecosystem (5+ years of practical experience)
