Software Engineer - DevSecOps

In this role, you will design, build, and refine software across front-end, back-end, and data layers to deliver scalable payment solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust systems, using AI-assisted tools to accelerate development. You’ll own code quality, testing, and automation, from unit tests to CI/CD pipelines, while ensuring security and regulatory compliance. The position offers impact at scale within Visa’s global platform and data-driven environment. You will contribute to reliable, observable systems that support secure payments worldwide.

• Write, modify, and review high-quality, testable code across front-end, back-end, and data layers
• Integrate systems via APIs, messaging queues, and databases
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and large-scale data processing jobs using cloud services
• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with automation focus
• Maintain CI pipelines to auto-run tests on commits
• Debug, perform root cause analysis with AI-assisted tools, and enforce code quality gates
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines; deploy applications using containerization and orchestration
• Monitor production applications with observability tools; analyze incidents and implement fixes
• Optimize code for performance, cost, and maintainability
• Apply secure coding practices and manage secrets; ensure robust authentication/authorization
• Comply with regulatory standards and maintain audit-ready documentation

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
• Experience in writing, modifying, and reviewing code for commercial or end user applications
• Experience in debugging and root cause analysis
• Experience in developing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Experience in integrating systems via APIs, messaging queues, and databases
• Experience in maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deploying applications
• Experience in applying secure coding practices and complying with regulatory standards
