Overview
In this role you will strengthen FanDuel's mobile platform by working on the React Native/Sportsbook app foundations. You’ll improve app performance, build reusable tooling and components, and help keep the core codebase scalable and maintainable. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle performance and quality challenges, contribute to incident response, and participate in ongoing engineering improvement. - Contribute to the core React Native codebase underpinning the Sportsbook app
- Improve app launch and runtime performance across the mobile stack
- Build and maintain frameworks, tooling, and shared components for feature teams
- Collaborate with engineers across domains to solve cross-cutting challenges
- Implement pragmatic solutions balancing performance, maintainability, and scalability
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
- Join on-call duties as part of incident response process
- 2–3 years of experience in mobile app development
- Strong practical experience with React Native OR React
- Interest in performance optimization, tooling, and frameworks as well as app features
- Native Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift) experience is a plus
- Familiarity with mobile app development best practices and testing approaches
- Exposure to Agile development and collaborative teams
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to evaluate technical trade-offs with guidance
