Responsibilities
- Lead project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management
- Define and design loosely coupled, scalable systems in a microservices architecture
- Mentor junior team members and support their technical development
- Stay up-to-date with and apply latest technologies across Checkout
Key requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in C# .NET, Java, or Go with backend or full‑stack experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills
- Experience in agile environments and delivering high-quality code under deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently or in a team
- AI proficiency or curiosity to leverage new tech to boost productivity
- Payments or financial knowledge is a plus
